I am trying the demo version of Jamstix under WIndows 7, 64 bit, and cannot get my Cubase 5.5.1 to see it.

I downloaded the demo version of jBridge, and installed it. When I ran jBridge3 (as Administrator) against the C:\jamstix3demo directory, the only VST it could locate was audioM8.dll (which is now visible in the Cubase VST list as FX effect), but nothing else. The only other DLL under the installation folder of the jamstix was jamstix3_demo.dll, but it wasn't recognized as VST neither by jBridge nor by Cubase (I tried copying it to the VSTPlugins folder of Cubase). What am I missing? Should there be another DLL for Jamstix VST missing in the Demo?

Please advice. I am looking to purchase the drum kit within the next day or two for a project with a tight deadline.

Sincerely,

Michael (Misha) Shengaout Sad

Jamstix 3 is not properly handled by C5-64 at this time. It should work with jBridge, though. I'll check into that issue. Work-around: use C5-32 for the time being.

The problem happened "upstream" from Cubase. It lookes like jBridge's "load tool" (you give it a folder or a file and it generates the bridge either for all VST-s or the specific one you selected) didn't recognize jamstix3_demo.dll as a VST control.

If you could verify that the jamstix3_demo.dll can be "detected" and loaded with jBridge's "load tool" (tool version I think was 1.14, the jBridge version was their latest, I think 1.2) on Windows 7 64 bit, that would cedrtainly resolve my problem.

When scanning the demo with jBridge, uncheck both search options in jB (Through analysis etc.) and it works for me here.

Well, the problem seemed to be the demo version of the jBridge. I have purchased the full version of jBridge, unchecked the "full verification" in jBridge tool, copied generated bridge to VSTPlugins of the Cubase and the Jamstix now runs just fine!
