I realize that when you make a part such as verse, or chorus or bridge JS3 puts an appropriate fill at the point where it transitions from one to the other.
My question is how do you just put fills where a drummer would place them based on the way the song feel is going.
I am hoping there is a better way to do this in JS3 but I know from using JS1-3 that you can right click on any bar, click on import then click on JS1 fill and choose the fill you want from there. I this still the best way to put fills at random places throughout the song.

Thanks in advance for any help offered,
May God Bless Your Day,
Russell

I am afraid that my workflow for this is even more complicated.

If I have a 4 bar groove and want a fill in bar 3, I do the following:

I create a 3 bar part with a fill at the end, and a 1 bar part straight after it. So I have 4 bars in total with a fill in bar 3. Not really simple, too.

But let's wait and see what Ralph suggests.

Just select the bar where you want the fill in the timeline
loop that bar in the bar editor
click on the fills tab
hit the compose button and jamstix will create a fill, keep hitting the compose button until you get a fill you like .
Then you can lock the bar if you want so you don't loose the fill.

Cheers
