edit: this issue has been solved. Combination of user/host error, or something... see third post in the thread.

Using Jamstix 2 and recently reinstalled to a new hard drive.

When I play back saved projects with Jamstix set to "Jam-No input" (or anything else), there is no sound and my host's meters show silence.

Jamstix shows a song loaded, and generates "hits" in the bar editor. There is a kit loaded and I can get jamstix to generate the appropriate sounds by clicking on kit pieces in the kit view, and also by waving the mouse over the bar editor. However playback does not produce any sound.

I feel like I must be missing something stupid.

Please send me rzdlog.txt from My Documents\Jamstix2. Also, do the bar/beat counters in JS2 advance in sync with the host?

Thanks for the quick reply! I got this at least pseudo-sorted, for my own purposes... the symptom occurs with REAPER set play in looping/"repeat" mode, when playing outside the "loop" time selection. i.e., if I toggle off the "repeat" mode in REAPER, Jamstix plays fine, OR if I play within the loop selection, Jamstix plays fine.

And since there is no sane reason why I would need to play back content outside the loop selection while in looping mode, this is not really a problem, just something to remember.

But in any case, if you want to look into further... yes, the bar/beat counters in the bar editor were advancing normally. I could preview the sounds by waving the mouse over the hits in the bar editor, or by clicking on kit pieces in the kit view, just no sound on playback (in the above conditions).
