Hi,
Still a newbie at this software and I'm still trying to figure out all the little things that make it work.

I'm wondering if Jamstix is triggered to change patterns after a change in chord progressions? For example if the song goes from and A,D,A chord pattern to C,F,C,F will Jamstix recognize that and do something different?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I haven't had as much time as I like to really get into the program (work, wife, kids, etc) Rolling Eyes

Thanks, Leee

If you are using MIDI jam, Jamstix will recognize pattern changes and alter the rhythm. In a nutshell, Jamstix uses the keys struck around the first beat of a bar as a marker and assigns a patterns slot to it. Everytime that marker is detected again the pattern gets activated.

Thanks Ralph, so does this mean that theoretically that when I return to the "A" portion of my song, the same drum rhythm will resume?

Yes, it should.

Cool! Thanks again for you help Ralph. Hopefully one of these days I'll find a few hours to actually sit down and "just play with it" Laughing
