I've been playing around with the Roger drummer model on a Superior Drummer. As i understand, this is a model of Roger Taylor (from Queen) because he has that exact habit of opening hat on a backbeat. I really like that sound, however, i can't seem to get it right in Superior - the hihat just abruptly ends with a pedal sound. Is this a Jamstix issue or should i configure Superior accordingly (if yes - how)?
Also, just a suggestion - it would be nice if the HH openness of those backbeat hats was relative to current level, not absolute (like it is now). |

The sound of the pedal stopping the hats is determined by Superior. There may be some options to affect this. You can also experiment with removing the hat pedal sound in JS. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Try to edit your jamstix3.ini. You find these settings in the manual page 64.
[Superior Drummer]
CC4=1
ClosedHatSet=42,61,62,63,64,65
Since I just did a reinstall I had that missing too...
Sounds ok now.
Peace,
B. |
