| Does this program rely on another to work? or is it 100% standalone capable? Can I write drum loops without having to buy or own ANYTHING other than this program and a computer that can run it? |

| Kind of. Savihost doesn't really support proper sync with other hosts. |

I'm a Mac user and was hoping Jamstix was a stand alone. Alas, it wasn't and Ralph directed me to Reaper. At $60, it's a cheap DAW and it really works well. I haven't regretted either purchase.
My only regret was not buying the full Jamstix package up front. I'm sure I'll order all of the upgrades all over time, but Jamstix is my favorite piece of musical software and I wish I'd jumped in with both feet.
