Is it possible to add accents to fills so that they'd go better with the song? Or would it be possible to add such feature to the upcoming versions? It'd be great if there was an option where you could add accents (kick + crash, for example) according to the song and let Jamstix create the fills around those accents.

Hm I´m not sure what you mean.
Right now you can already customize the fill behaviour of a drummer model to great extent using the parameters in the song tab / fill sub menu.
You can even hand- edit fills if you wish to do so.
Please elaborate.

Ok, I'm new to the software so there might be already a way to do this. I'll try to elaborate (or confuse you even more). Basically I'd like a bit more control on how the fill fits the song. Think Sympton of the universe by Black Sabbath. There's those powerchorhds where Bill Ward does this cool fill. I wouldn't want to hand edit the whole fill, just "tell" the drummer where to place those accents...

I think I know what you mean. We are working on a concept of 'fill anchoring' where you would be able to mark ticks in the bar editor that need to be heavily accented (i.e kick/crash) and the fill generator would compose around those anchors. Not sure when this will be ready for prime-time.

Ralph -

This "fill anchoring" would be GREAT! Certain fills just need to match the timing of various vocal phrases, etc. -- and anything that allows you to indicate the key fill "hits", and then work the rest of the fill around those key hits, would be really useful! And it would be OUTSTANDING if there was a way to specify those key fill "anchors" with a microphone (since you already have the audiom8 thing sorted out)...
