It seems like the output channel calculations are not right with the Jamstix 3 and Superior 2 integration. Or else, something is wrong with my gray matter.
It seems JS wants twice the number och channels. If I set "Audio Outputs (Stereo)" to 8, it should be enough, right?. That's 16 channels. But JS complains that is needs at least 16 channels (which is what I have). The "Stereo Outputs" choice doesn't seem to make a difference, and it shouldn't as it seems to only group them in twos (or not).
And it doesn't help to set e.g. 9 stereo outputs, as JS still complains. The workaround now is to set it to 16 stereo outs (32 channels) and then after it is loaded, remove the superfluous 16 highest channels. Of course, every time I open the project this needs to be redone.
Besides fixing this, I'd like to suggest that 16 channels be made optional anyway, as Superior 2 has the option of outputting everything to a stereo channel. In fact, that is the default! This also allows you to use JS3/SD2 as an Instrument Track in Cubase, which is quite convenient.
