Don't know what;s up with this. I'm using Samplitude, I have noticed that the bar editor does not behave as it used to. I can't get it to load preview sounds, I can't get it to show the little popup with options about what sound to use, nor can I get it to replace sounds by dragging on empty squares, or add sounds by clinking on squares. I have tried this also in Mini host and the same thing. I have been sure to disconnect it from the host, and put it in preview mode when editing, but it just doesn't respond.

Hi Ralph,

I can send it, but I think I've got it sorted. Its the same old problem with the host (samplitude) not releasing the vsti, combined with my general lack of knowledge of the new interface. The thing is that the bar editor shows those options "change sound" cut, copy, etc. but it doesn't allow you to use them unless certain conditions are met, like the host is longer engaged etc. It FEELS like its not responding when you clink around in the bar editor and nothing happens. I loaded up another song, started fresh, and it worked fine though. Weird that in Samp 8 you have to have the host playing to even hear the sounds of the kit like when you are clicking the images of the drums and all in the kist window or when you click their squares in the bar editor. Anyway, its working, and I need to upgrade my host, but I can't afford it!

Most hosts run the audio for plugins even when stopped. Maybe there is a setting somewhere in Samp8 for this? Or maybe there is a 'Monitor' option on the JS track?

I'm experiencing the exact same thing in Sonar 6. I'm running JS3 as well.

Absolutely Ralph. I'll do that when I get home tonight.

Thanks.

Interesting. I uninstalled JS2 and JS3 and then reinstalled JS3 and the drum paks. Now it works fine.
