Hi-
Hosts: SONAR PE 8.5.3, REAPER 3.53pre4
How do I ensure that JS3 is in sync with my host (eg. beat 1 = beat 1 in both) when I turn on Preview Loop? Is there any way to start them at the same time automatically?
Also, if I disengage "Lock/Unlock from Host", the Preview stops altogether. It will only run when it's locked to the host. The User Manual (p.12) says it should run either way.
Thanks-

The manual needs to be corrected on that. Preview requires host lock. Sorry about that!
The purpose of JS preview is to work in JS when the host is stopped. If you wish to loop a bar and have Sonar in synch then you need to loop the bar in Sonar, not JS. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ok, understood.

What I was trying to do was loop/preview one bar in JS while SONAR was playing (looping 8 bars, say) so I could hear that single JS bar in context.
Is there any way to do that currently and have JS & SONAR guaranteed to automatically start together on the 1st beat of a bar? As it is now I'm just clicking the loop button in JS to get it going.
Thanks-

I can't see a way to do that. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ok. Maybe in the future we could assign a MIDI note or CC to begin the JS Preview?
Thanks-
