Hello, I am trying to mess around with using existing midi clips as a foundation to build grooves with jamsix. I am trying to follow the youtube tutorial for "midi import" but I am not getting the same behavior thats on the video. I'm using superior 2 and for now just loading the default avatar kit (subhosted in jamstix). I have tried toontrack midi (metal foundry clips), groovemonkey metal clips, and some EZD clips that came with superior.

When I select style>import and put a midi clip in, select use current kit mapping (only selection that doesnt give me key mapping errors) everything appears normal but...

According to the youtube video, playing the song at this point should be giving me a clean representation of the midi clip. What I get is a very basic watered down version of the midi.. cymbals are missing, the faster kick patterns are either missing or played very softly, even with the intensity maxed out.

The clips im using are in 4/4 my host and JS are set for 4/4 and my host is set to the native tempo of the clips.

Is this the expected behavior? or am i missing something.

Thanks

Are you selecting the proper MIDI format in the load dialog box?
