|

Hi,
I just purchased and installed the full version of Jamstix and when I try to preview the rhythms or the fills/intro/endings I don't hear anything.
Everything else seems to be workign so far.
Love this program!
Thanks,
Rich |

We'll look into that. For now you have to have n-Track running (playing) for the Preview to work. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I, Zauni, just messed up RichLum's original post because I don't know what I'm doing
RichLum essentially reported that the preview functions fall silent in Jam With Audio mode since no input is present. |

It's like you need the preview to ignore the velocity slider
|
That's a good idea. We'll put that in the next update. For now just switch to Jam With MIDI and raise the velocity while previewing. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph even if I set Jamstix to "Jam with Midi" I hear some drums playing when I preview but it isn't the pattern.
I usually just hear hi hats and sometimes an occassional kick on some patterns but usually no snare.
It's what I would expect Jamstix to play for that pattern at a low velocity.
Even though I have put the velocity slider up to full.
This is the same in both Tracktion and n-Track.
Also Sekim told me how to get the preview to work in n-Track - you have to have the "LIVE" button enabled (it's like the real time monitoring button)

Let's see if the 1.02E which we will release in a few hours fixes this. If not, let me know _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph.
I downloaded 1.02E and preview still is the same.
As an example:
If I go to load Rhythm
Choose basic and then Rock Basic I
All I hear is the hihat played on each beat of the bar
If I choose rock basic II I get the same but with a thekick on the third beat of the bar (I can tell it's on the third beat by looking at the beat field in the main jamstix window behind the load rhythm window
Any pattern I choose is similar results (mostly soft hi hat with the occassional kick.
I get the same resultin both Tracktion and n-Track... |

The rhythm load screen and the fill/intro/ending screen each have a note icon. Use it to toggle preview. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No, preview mode supplies its own time source. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
