|
|
Greetings - Using Sonar Producer 8.5.2, 64-bit, on Vista x64, and JS 2.5.2
I'm not sure why this is happening - any insights appreciated!
In Sonar, I load JS via the Synth Rack. I let JS open the Wizard so I can pick one of the pre-made song templates.
The Wizard is always opening *behind* the main JS GUI. It's still working - I can use up or down arrows for selection (though I can't see what I'm doing...) and load templates.
I can't move the JS main GUI to expose the Wizard, nor can I find a way to bring the Wizard to the front.
I've never run into this before... this is my first foray into the 64-bit realm, could this be somehow related to a conflict between the 32-bit JS VSTi and 64-bit Sonar?
Thanks much for your assistance. |

Please try the following switch in the jamstix2.ini [General] section:
ForceModals=0 _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for responding. This adjustment to the .ini did not change the behavior.
I did some more experimenting to see what might make a difference - btw, I am using a dual-monitor system (though this has not been an issue in the past).
If I put the JS gui on one monitor, and click to change the part name, number of bars, or number of reps, that dialogue will always come up on the opposite monitor.
The issue of hiding the wizard is consistent with the style and drummer wizards, too, and placing the gui on a different monitor does not seem to make any difference.
Could this be a BitBridge related issue? When trying to adjust some of the drummer parameters while it was playing, I got the following error:
Bitbridge
Access violation at address 02EAD243 in module 'jamstix2.dll'. Read of address 0462020C
Thanks again for the support!
Russ

BitBridge support will be better in Jamstix 3.

Hi Ralph -
According to what I've read, nView was not carried forward into Vista by nVidia, so I don't believe anything like that is active. There is an alternative app called "UltraMon." Is this something I should investigate? |

I downloaded the beta this afternoon and have been experimenting... and thus far, the issue has not presented itself. |
