|
|
During the install of the JS 3 Beta one of the screens said it would install the plug in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins. I remember this because I went to explore that folder to see what was already in it before I clicked "Next". My jamstix2 folder is there.
When I clicked OK, the installer put the Jamstix3beta folder in C:\Program Files, not in the Cakewalk\Vstplugins folder like the screen said it would.
I did not change anything that came up on the screen, I just clicked ok...ok....ok..... (or next.....next.....next....)
So why did it put it in a different location than what the screen said it would? And can I move it to the Cakewalk\Vstplugins folder where it is supposed to be? That's where my jamstix2 folder is.
When I tried to run the installer a second time, it said it would install to C:\Program Files\Jamstix3beta.
Did I miss something? I dont drink or smoke or talk on the cell phone while installing software, so am I going blind? |

The JS3 installer asks for two location (similar to most other plugin installers). The first one is for the JS3 data and the second asks for the plugin location where the DLLs will go.
This allows users to install the data part on a secondary, fast drive and just the DLLs in their plugins folder where the host can find them. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I must have missed something or double clicked something.
Matters not.....it's working just fine! Thanks! |
