I have a good collection of midi drum clips I'd like to be able to enhance.
I've been looking at this program and one thing I'd like to understand before I buy it is whether on "Jam - No Input" playback of composed songs (or of imported midi) clips if drummer and/ or style has an effect.
Also, I'd assume when you import a midi clip for a song part that it only shows up in the 'groove' matrix, not the 'accent' or 'fill' matrices. Is this correct?
Can you 'compose' just the 'accents' or 'fills' on top of a groove you want to keep?
Also, is playback of anything composed affected by the shuffle, power level, etc., controls on the main interface? Or does this only come into play on composition?
Finally, if you make changes to a drummer in the brain, can you save that with that drummer, or do you have to readjust things for each new song using that drummer?
Thanks.

Yes, drummer and style affect playback of imported grooves.

Yes, groove, accents and fills are separate from each other.

Power level and shuffle are 'playback filters' that do not affect composition but all playback so you can change them at will.

Not in JS2 but in JS3 you can save drummer presets. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
