Steve B mentioned the above a couple of months ago and I ordered a copy from my local library. I agree with Steve - this is a very entertaining book, and although I'm old enough to have bought early Yes stuff when it first came out, Bruford has some great insights into the music world of not only 40 years ago but now as well.
Well worth a read and if you're a skinflint like me, get it from your library. |

| I saw Bill Bruford play when he was still with Yes. While I'm not a drummer, being able to watch him was made getting stuck with seats behind the stage a blessing in disguise. |

I once met Bill Bruford at a Jazz club in Boston. He was there with Earthworks.... not only is he an incredible drummer, but a friendly and gracious man as well. It's pretty rare for guys at his level. I have a signed earthworks album to commemorate the experience... though I think memory would have worked just fine. It's my only celebrity story... just thought I'd share  |
