Hey guys.

I just got a new Dell Core 2 Quad. I'm running Vista 64 and JS2 2.5.1. If I'm writing a part in a bar and looping it, when it comes back to beat 1 of the bar, the beat lags. The beats within the bar OK, it's as if there's a slight delay of the beginning of the bar when it cycles back.

Any ideas? I didn't have this problem running Win XP Pro on a Pentium 4.

Thanks.

Dave

Thanks!

Your log shows you are using the 64-bit adapter of Sonar 64. That adapter is currently not compatible with Jamstix 2 (as well as many other complex plugins). You'll have to use the 32-bit Sonar version under Vista 64 for the time being.

I uninstalled Sonar and JS2. Then reinstalled Sonar 6 32 bit. I then reinstalled Js2 and everything was OK. If I then install JS 2.5.1, whenever I put JS2 into a Sonar project it tells me I need to run the latest JS updater. I run the install as admin but it doesn't matter. I still get that message.

BTW, I've been searching for a solution on the site. I don't seem to have access to the full install of 2.5. Do you have to update my link?

Your links have just been renewed. The updater message can be killed as described in the FAQ here:

Thanks Ralph. I'll try the new installer. I was running as admin before but still got the message. I'll follow up later.

One question: I see the 2.5.1 udpate on my link page. Is this a full install? Do I still have to install JS2? Just asking because it doesn't seem different from the 2.5.1 update I was trying last night.

Thanks.

Use the full installer, which is also 2.5.1 (jamstix_setup.exe)

No good Ralph. The jamstix2_setup installs 2.5.0. The 2.5.1 update is not the full install so, I run jamstix2_setup as admin and then the 2.5.1 udpate as admin but get the same message about installing a newer updater.

I also updated the js2 file in data\sounds but that didn't help. Here is my rzdlog contents...

<1.3> IFACE BPM:120 TS:4/4 PPQ:0 SR:44100 BS:4352
<3.6> Plugin is shutting down...
<3.6> ...done

Is there a full setup (install) of 2.5.1?

Ah, yes, you are correct. The full installer is currently 2.5.0. I recommend you do the following:

- uninstall JS2
- reinstall full 2.5.0 to a folder outside of 'program files' (to circumvent Vistas file virtualization habits)
- run 2.5.1 updater
