for backup reasons , i went thru a bunch of projects and created midi file of songs by dragging into project.
I wanted to then find the .mid files created and back them up, but looking in cubase folders and even doing system wide search, can't find any new .mid files created.
By default where would they be hiding ? ( and i guess most importantly, this process DOES create a .mid file called "song"?
thanks,

Dragging into Cubase does not create a permanent file on your drive. The resulting clip resides within the Cubase project. If you want a MID file, you need to drag to Explorer.
