Hello,

I'm in the process of building a new/updated computer with the following...

Asus M3N-HT Deluxe Mempipe Mother board
AMD Phenom II 940 BE 3.0GHz Quad Core CPU
8 GB RAM
New SATA hard drives
Vistas 64 bit
Cubase 5

1. How do I move all my Jamstix to the new computer?
2. Does anyone see any potential conflicts/problems using the above hardware & software?

Note: The old computer will be dismantled and components sold on Ebay and Craig's List.

Your input is appreciated.

Computer sounds good. Just be aware that Jamstix currently does not run in the bit adapter that comes with Cubase 5 64-bit (as is the case with many other plugins as well).
However, it does run fine on Vista 64 with Cubase 5 32-bit.

Easiest way to move JS is to just copy the Jamstix folder to the new machine. After that please remove the jamstix folder from the old machine prior to selling it.

Thanks Ralph.

The old hard drive with all programs on it will be "sledge hammered" and trashed. It is over 4 years old. Too risky to use again.

I don't see any problems with the computer, but you could list a few more specifics such as the exact type of RAM and your power supply to help make sure there won't be any issues.

Raven_pheat make sure you get 32mb cache for the hard drives and Sata 2.If your streaming samples from the hard drive, you want to get the fastest transfer speed available.
