|
|
If you have locked bars in the arranger and you turn of the rythm using the Clef symbol, the bars will still play regardless.
The reason I have done this is that I have got my song as needed in the arranger and then recorded the midi from Jamstix to do small edits like removing a few hats and changing a few cymbals. I then use the midi track as input to Jamstix so want to mute the rythm engine, as I am using Jamstix sounds.
If I unlock all the bars it works - as in no sounds are generated by the rtythm engine just the midi input. However, if you then lock all the bar again and turn on the rtythm engine nothing gets played - it is as though the lock knows exactly what was played last time, including muted rythms, so when toggling all the locks on again you have no rythms, and if you play it through again you end up with subtle changes before locking.
Phew......hope I explained that clearly... _________________ Antony Richards

Well, that sounds like a bug so we'll fix it. Expect new beta later today. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Actually, the clef symbol doesn't apply to a locked bar because a locked bar has 'severed' its link to the pattern. Instead, we'll add a 'Mute Brain' button to the Manual Jam options that will 'shut-up' the brain completely for those manual MIDI feeds. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

That will be perfect. I was thinking of suggesting that in another post, as it was a pain to turn of the Clef for the 5 rythms individually in my arrangement. _________________ Antony Richards
