I have tried this in Both FL Studio 8 and Reaper and here is what happens. I load up Jamstix then load the predefined Superior Kit... when I click on edit to bring up the kit and I want to load a different kit or project it starts to load it then bombs out and cant play any thing. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

8 gig

But only 3 gig available to XP.

I can load the largest of kits outside of Jamstix... its only when I try to load them as a subhost that I have issues.

That's quite odd. Other than recommending to run the latest versions of JS2 and Superior, the only work-around for now would be to run Superior via MIDI track instead of subhosting. I'll see if we can duplicate the problem here to research further.

Are you by any chance trying to select a different instrument while Superior is loading? This causes it to freeze up completely, but it will become responsive again as soon as loading is finished. This bug should be fixed in the next update of Superior.

Otherwise, just how much ram does Superior say the current selection will take up when loaded (show in the 'Total' window at the bottom left)? In 32-bit Windows, any single application taking more than 1.5GB of RAM causes problems.

I am just trying to load a project file that when loaded outside of jamstix it is like 650 meg no big deal. My system can handle it fine. When I try to load this project in jamstix(superior subhost it starts to load and dies) I can load a 1400 meg kit in jamstix no problem. I think that it has some thing to do with what is in the Mixer of this kit. I sent the project file to Ralph.... or you can grab it here also....

Its called the NuMetal Kit...

I did this:

- start REAPER
- add Jamstix
- load Superior 2 kit
- open S2 GUI
- open Nu Metal kit you sent

I have no crash with that on a lowly Athlon 3700 with 2GB RAM. Whats is your ASIO driver and sound card?

SP3 shouldn't make a difference but if you could use ASIO4ALL just as a reference test, that would be great.
