|
|
hello,
I've been running Jamstix on an XP machine , with all the add-ons, kits, drummers etc. and I want to run it on my new 64-bit Windows 7 build. What's the best way to move it ? I attempted to download all my purchases afresh but the downloads are ' expired '. It seems a bit risky to simply attempt to copy everything from one machine to another. |

If you PM or email me your user name, I will renew your downloads. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

OK, downloading.
Can I simply install JS 3, updates and extras and ignore JS 2 and updates ? |

| Yes, you can skip JS2 completely if you want. |

| OK, I can't activate. I only have the original Jamstix 2 license key and can't find a discrete license key for Jamstix 3. I've got the keys for everything else. |

Thanks Ralph, I'm all loaded and running.
For anybody else doing this, I installed Jamstix 3 into my 64-bit sequencer plugins folder, Reaper 64 in this instance, opened Jamstix in Reaper and then installed all my extras separately via the ' Installpak ' tab. |

I am about to do the same thing. Will I need to start with Jamstix 3 and then install the .X versions? Can I just copy the data folder over to the new drive without having to install it? Can I use my original Jamstix 3 license key? Thank you very much! |

Yes, you can just move the whole thing over to the new machine and activate with your license key. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
