Hi-

I've been experimenting with Jam With Audio in REAPER, and I noticed that the audioM8 FX says "audioM8 allows you to 'audio-jam' with Rayzoon VSTi in a host that cannot route audio input to a VST instrument".

I can route audio to the Jamstix track in REAPER, and I'm sure some other hosts allow this. It seems to work (kind of), but the Audio LED doesn't light up, and the Power dial doesn't move. The results certainly aren't as good as when I use audioM8, but I haven't done any tweaking.

I'm just curious if this method (routing audio direct to the JS track) should work as well as using audioM8, since the manual doesn't make mention of direct routing. I only noticed it in the audioM8 interface.

Thanks-

-Susan

Make sure you adjust the trim on the audio input. It looks like a 1/4" plug with a slider on top of it, immediately to the right of the "Jam - With Audio" title.

Hi Box-

The Input Trim setting doesn't make any difference if I route the audio direct to the Jamstix track, and the Audio LED never lights up. That's why I'm thinking Jam With Audio only works with audioM8 inserted on a track.

I might well be wrong, though!

Jamstix 2 does not have an audio input anymore as Jamstix 1 did so you always have to use audioM8.

Time to edit the documentation then... Wink

I also tried to jam without audioM8 without success...

Hi Ralph-

A small FR to remove that message from the audioM8 window going forward, since you always have to use it for audio jamming in JS2. I think the documentation is ok, since IIRC it doesn't say anything about audio input to JS2.

Thanks-
