Hi Ralph -
I'm a bit confused as to how to access the MIDI drum track generated by Jamstix.
First off, I followed the direction in the Free Jam Quick Start r1.1 manual on page 12 - "If you want to record your session for later playback, you need to arm the instrument AND the Jamstix track". I took that to mean that the Jamstix track needed to be record enabled (like the keyboard track), and then to hit record/play and off to the races.
What happened was that the keyboard MIDI output was recorded on both tracks, this is what I would expect.
Did Jamstix store a MIDI drum track somewhere? Or am I just off base by a mile, like I think I probably am? I've read sectin 13 in the r1.2 User Manual, "The Mapping Tab", but I'm afraid I haven't been able to absorb that info very well
Thanks! _________________ Alexis

The reason you record on both tracks is that if you hit play, Jamstix needs a copy of what you were just playing live to reproduce the same performance.
If you want to record the Jamstix MIDI output, you need to add a MIDI track (depends on your hosts) with input=Jamstix and arm it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
