I compose a set of new bars, go back to Bar 1 and play back and everything sounds ok. If I then preview Bar 1, I get double bass drum hits for everyone single bass drum hit in the UI. Also, seems like at the end of the bar there is a slight delay adding 1/16 or 1/32 of a beat. So listening to the Preview Bar doesn't keep exact time.

Any advice.

Thanks.

What is your host, your OS and your audio driver?

Using Windows XP SP3, Sonar 7.0, and EMU 1616M with ASIO driver.

Another fact that may be affecting things, I'm still getting the "Some Jamstix data files appear to be out of date. Possible reasons are: 1) you need to run the latest Jamstix updater..., 2) Permission issues under Vista... 3) You manually moved the data folder..."

I haven't moved any of the files. Do I need to reinstall the add-on Paks?

I re-ran the jamstix2_update_2_5_0.exe and that seems to have gotten rid of the warning message when first loading Jamstix in Sonar7.

I'm running this on a Lenovo laptop with 4G of memory, T9300 Duo CPU @ 2.5GHz. I just tried this again using the built in sound card (rather than the EMU 1616M PCMCIA interface). When playing from the beginning of a new song, things seem fine. If I preview any bar, I don't hear the double bass that I previously heard, but I still go get the additional 1/16 of a beat at the end of each bar.

So the double bass I was hearing before was probably some sort of pilot error on my part. However, I'm still don't hear a consistent beat when looping over a single bar. It's kind of like a hiccup at the end of repeating bar. Is this expected behavior?

I forwarded the log file and Ralph saw that I had inadvertently set the sample buffer size way too high. Setting the buffer size to ~1024 samples corrected the problem. Now previewing a bar stays in tempo.

Thanks Ralph!
