|
|
Hello again
I can't seem to get my audio input (live acoustic guitar) to make any difference to J2 play dynamics.
I'm playing from quiet fingerpick style to loud strum, but the Play Power Wheel doesn't move when I play.
I'm getting the red audio light on when I play, and the M8 meter dial moves.
But the m8 dial doesn't move much.
Maybe only 1/2 centimeter.
But I can't input my guitar any louder as it's already touching 0db
Any suggestions where I should look?
Using Sonar 8
kev
btw Jamcussion is greeeaaaatttttt!!!!!! |

Right-click on the power knob and make sure there is no controller mapped to it.
Go to 'Options' and make sure the input velocity map makes sense. If in doubt, hit 'Linear (Default)'.
If that doesn't fix it, where is the power knob positioned? All the way left? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No controllers mapped.
Have now selected a linear curve (it was a curvy curve)
Power Knob is all the way left, as you mentioned |

Please increase the input trim (quarter inch jack symbol slider to the right of the jam selector) until the song power knob just hits the right side when you play the loudest. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Tried your instructions. Thanks.
Moved the input trim full over to the right.
The Power Knob then started to move a little during live audio play, but only by a few millimetres of green at at loudest play (full on chords). Nothing like halfway on the Power Knob.
What else could I be doing wrong? |

The problem is the low volume on the audio track. Please add this line to the [General] section of your jamstix2.ini file:
MaxTrim=1200
Close/reload your project and see if it helps. If it is still not enough, increase the value to 2400. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
