Hi Ralph,
I am currently facing some issues with 2.5. and Jamcussion.
It basically works so far, but some things are not as they should be, I think.
One of my workflows in detail:
I start with no style or drummer loaded. Activate "learn" and tap in a basic kick/snare-pattern with my MPD, but the notes donīt appear in the bar editor of the drum view, but in the percussion view. I would prefer the learn-function to be active only in the drum- or the percussion-part and not in both at the same time.
As it is now I have a hard time copying bar by bar from the percussion view to the drum view (can I copy more than one bar at once? Maybe I have to rtfm once more). By the way: trying to delete the kick/snare hits in the percussion view is also not easy, because "clear entire limb" does not work there and I have to do it with "clear entire bar".
Second issue which I also found in older versions before 2.5., but which seemed to be fixed in one of the latest version (but I am not absolutely sure):
When I have my basic kick/snare groove, I want to turn this into a style, but then I get another problem: as soon as I start the host, the hits are moved during the playback (no drummer loaded at this time, no other elements in the brain control loaded, nothing but my kick and snare hits). Tapping in kick and snare I get hits for the left hand and right foot, but then all kick hits are moved to the left foot and most (but sometimes not all) of the snare hits are copied to the right hand, so that I have two snare hits at the same time with both hands. I did not find a law in this behaviour, because when I turned a groove into a style that was "8th rock" before -and not my own pattern- it did not result in moving or doubled hits. Most strange.
I also found that the kick hits were moved back to the right foot when I picked a drummer...
By the way: what does the error message " list index out of bounds (4)" mean when I try to turn a groove into a style and whatīs the best way to avoid it?
I hope this was all clear enough and it's not too hard to fix it. Because what I described is a good workflow for me when I want to have a specific type of groove (I like to add other things with the "extract from other style"-function then, pick a drummer etc...). But sometimes I only pick a style and a drummer and look what Jamstix comes up with to get inspired.
Greetings from Germany
