Sorry if this question has been asked already - I looked in the Cubase sticky. I'm considering switching my recording situation from a Yamaha AW16G to computer-based, and I really love the idea of Jamstix for drums. I'm thinking about buying a Lexicon Omega interface, which comes bundled with Cubase LE4 software. I'm a total innocent, a babe in the woods when it comes to computer recording, so I'm begging for help.

1. Is Jamstix compatible with Cubase LE4? It's the "LE4" part I can't find anything about on site here. I don't know if it's substantially different from the other Cubase products listed here, and I really want to use Jamstix as my drum module.

2. Any opinions on or experiences with the Lexicon Omega?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't see any reason why Cubase LE shouldn't work with Jamstix. It hosts vsti's I believe.
I found this review (you may have already seen it) here:

Don't know anything about the Lexicon but I'm sure someone here does.

Most of the major DAW companies have "lite" versions of their software, although I don't know if they can be just downloaded or bundled with a product.
You could also try the demo's of the workstations mentioned here at Rayzoon.
Multitrack Studio (a quiet but loyal following)
Reaper
MuLab
and others.

Thanks! I'll check those out - Like I said, I'm really just starting to look into all this, and the Lexicon/Cubase combo was easily available. Hopefully, I'll be posting on here sometime soon for tips on using Jamstix.
