fresh install of whole PC C: drive with all XP Sp3 updates (32 bit) Intel Q9550, 4 gig RAM, running Sonar 8 with Jamstix2 all updates on everything.
Sonar midi track enabled and showing Midi input and recording Midi info from my keyboard controller just fine. Output from midi track routed correctly to Jamstix2, not showing any Midi Input to Jamstix 2.
I also tried to play an imported midi drum file..still no Jamstix Midi input.
The Jamstix 2 drum kit I have loaded makes sounds just fine when I play the drums using the mouse on the JS Kit screen. Tried Midi Echo on and off in Sonar. still no Midi to Jamstix. Please help as this is very frustrating.
Thanks,
Rocky |

Does the yellow 'MIDI IN' LED above the song sheet in Jamstix 2 light up? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

no it does not light up.
I am now trying to record a finger-played midi beat into the Jamstix midi track...the Sonar track records the info but no midi input light on Jamstix and no sound.
I have BFD2 on another track which works fine. My goal was to try and rout the midi output from Jamstix track to the midi input of the BFD2 midi track. I beleive I am doing everything right but I cannot get that yellow midi light to light up no matter what I do. |

Hi Rocky-
That's very strange. I have SONAR 8.02 and JS 2.5.0, and it works fine here. It sounds like your routing is right. I don't know if I can help, but if you post your .cwp file somewhere I'd be happy to take a look.
Does the same thing happen with just a bare-bones project with only a JS MIDI and Audio track? Or are you using the new SONAR "Simple Instrument Track" option?
