When I select Jamstix2 in cubase studio 4 on windows vista I get the same error message I see on this website
"You need to run the latest jamstix updater... If you moved the files..."
I've tried everything that I've read here, but it still comes up. Now keep in mind that jamstix seems to be working fine and I am able to use the program, so I'm not actually sure if its even broken.
I guess the error message just unnerves me a little bit. |

Hi Ralph,
I really do appreciate your infinite patience with all these people with issues. Nonetheless Jamstix 2 is an awesome program and serves me better than most live drummers and I guess worth putting up with some things 'til perfection arrives.
I, too have been receiving the error message with jamstix2 v.2.1 update, using 2.22B14 beta in my Vista (32 bit laptop).
I uninstalled and reinstalled using "run as administrator". Didn't work. I dowloaded the ini file and put it in data/sounds folder. Didn't work. I am using a vst host (Cantabile) which allows me to load in "quick sessions" one after another during live performances. The extra step of clicking the error message off every time I load a new song is annoying.
Also, Frequently, My host stops working. I have to unplug my usb/MIDI cable, unplug the USB IDI cable, replug and start up the host again in order to get MIDI. I don't know if it's Cantabile or Jamstix or my Kawai MP5 Midi port that's the problem.
Any thoughts on how to fix these problems?
Thanks, Ralph |

Please send me the file rzdlog.txt from your Jamstix folder and also the file js2.ini from the \data\sounds folder.
Concerning the MIDI: I would suspect the MIDI drivers. It is virtually impossible for a plugin to destroy MIDI functionality as it is provided by the driver and managed by the host. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
