Hi Ralph,
I'm starting to use Jamstix in my tunes now and loving it.
The way I am composing with it at present is with JS in manual mode using the arranger to build up my drum track in real time, whilst the other tracks are running for reference.
The ability to have the fill function map to a midi note is great, as you can signal a fill requirement the bar before you need it and JS will throw one right in there!
However I notice that all the fills are a full measure long, and often all I need is a half measure fill (the full measure fill sounds lame in some musical contexts). Is this possible? Even the ability to mask the first half of the fill (ie have the preceeding rhythm play through the first half of the fill when desired) would be excellent.
Possible?
Cheers

Not all fills actually play for the whole measure. Jamstix overlays the fill with the rhythm and switches to semi hats. We'll see about putting in a switch to let you suppress the semi hat so that the rhythm is unchanged until the actual fill events kicks in. We'll also see if we can add something to the FIE screen so you can see the start point of each fill easily. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
