Hi, all. Is there an easy way to get JS2 to ride the crash (as is very common in modern metal music -- especially in the chorus/heavy sections) as opposed to playing the hihat?
I'm guessing there's some way to do it with the volume level of the song, etc. but I'd love it if there was a more immediate/direct way to go about it. Thanks in advance. |

| Just set the Power Hand parameter to Crash cymbal, and set the Min Power level to 0 (put the slider to the left). This way, Jamstix will play the crash no matter what the current Power knob is set to. If you leave the minimum level slider at its default (all the way to the right), it will only play crash cymbal when the power knob is set to its highest. If you only want this effect (riding the crash) for certain parts of the song, but not the whole time, simply add a new part for wherever you want the crash to play, and set up the Power Hand parameter as above. In this way, the rest of your song will be unaffected, and play hi-hats or ride or whatever your preference. |
