Hi

I just installed Jamstix and have the following problems:

1. I get the error message when loading it in my host:

"You need to run the latest Jamstix updater, etc."

Yes, I have read the FAQ. Problem: I 'm not on Vista and I don't know where to find this updater.
I haven't moved anything manually, only installed Jamstix in a custom folder (not the one the installer suggested).

2. When I choose "Jam session funk", in the quickstart window, all I get are kick hits. Nothing else. Yet, JS doesn't tell me there are any sounds missing.

If I load "Jam session brush " it's the same and the kit window tells me I have 13 sounds missing.

If I choose "Jam session electronic " I get no sounds at all.

"Jam session jazz": 7 sounds missing

I get all the sounds if I choose Afro Cuban

etc.

There doesn't seem to be any way to know whether a kit I'll load in the kit view will have all the sounds or only a few.

I have installed the stock kit (in same folder as the dll)

Does this happen because I'm supposed to buy other kits?

I use Windows XP Pro and energy XT 1.4

thanks

You get the updater by going to the link in the email you got when you bought Jamstix.

Let me know if this problem persists after running the 2.2.1 updater from your downloads page.

All those kits require the XL Pak.

You can tell by the (XL) ending on the kit.

Thanks for your reply. I ran the updater and everything is working fine now. I suppose I'll buy the XL pack some day soon.

By the way, Jamstix is amazing.

cheers
