| I'm using staircase style on a song, it offers 3 different styles-'default, basic, busier', I make the selections I want in each part, but sometimes they don't get saved with the song save. (Could it be because I am using a drummer model, Charlie, and he is controlling the styles?). Same song, some of the snare hits in certain sections do not play when I let JS play with the track from the beginning. If I use the little green bar play, preview button, they play just fine, or if I just start play from a couple of bars preceding the dropped hit they will play. There is no limb conflict or priority conflict, just kick, snare and hat. And finally, sometimes after I create a drum track and drag it into a midi track in the host, the hat will play the open hat instead of the closed hat that I used initially. I have tried several things to get it to play the closed hat, but it continues to play the open one. Thanks!! |

The selection in the preset box won't save to the project file but the settings it triggered will.

Please use 2.2.2 Beta 17 and watch the bar editor. Does the snare hit get crossed out red when it should be played? If so, move the mouse over it and see what it says in the status line as the reason.

Is there a #4 MIDI controller set in the host? Try placing a #4 event with value 127 at the beginning of the song in the MIDI track. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Re: question 1--Thanks for the answer!
Re: question 2--I'm using the latest version, and there is no red X over the snare drum. I tried switching which hand was used to play the snare, (from right to left) and it corrected the problem-sounds like some kind of conflict, doesn't it.
Re: question 3-- I will try your suggestion as soon as I can get back to the studio.
Thanks a lot, Ralph!! |

| OK, Ralph, in regards to question 3, I did as you suggested, the hat was fine when I used JS in drum module mode playing the midi track that I dragged into the track, but when I deleted the midi track and put JS back into 'Jam no input' mode for some more work on the arrangement, the hat was stuck open again. I can't figure out how to close the pedal in this mode. Any ideas? Thanks for your time, Milt. |

Very odd. I can't duplicate it here. What happens if you save/reopen the project. Are the hats then closed again? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Yes, I just reopened the project, and the hats are closed. |
