Hi, all. Just bought JS and have a couple quick questions...
I tried to add JS to an existing project (in Reaper) where I already had EZ Drummer loaded. When I chose EZD in JS, it loaded EZD a second time so now the stock kit is taking like 500mb -- what am I doing wrong?
Also, I like to blend EZD kits -- the drums from the stock kit and the cymbals from the DFH add-on pack. This seems like it might cause a problem or confusion with JS. Is there a way to setup JS when I'm using two different instances of EZD?
Let me know if this doesn't make any sense. Thanks!
P.S. The second issue should be resolved with Superior 2.0, but I'd like to make this work in the meantime. |

| By default if you choose the EZD mapping in Jamstix, it will actually load EZD subhosted inside Jamstix. The way to prevent that is to go to the Mixer tab and check 'MIDI only'. This way Jamstix will not load any sounds when you go to the Kit tab and select EZD, and will simply send MIDI output. To have Jamstix send to multiple instances of EZD, you should set a MIDI track to receive Jamstix's MIDI output, and assign that track's MIDI output to a drum map. Then you can route each note to the desired instance of EZD in the drum map. The specifics of setting up and using drum maps vary between sequencers and I don't use Reaper, so I can't really help you out there. |
