I downloaded and installed jamstix 2.2.1 last night.
On 1s load with DAW host Project 5, It's fine. Some kits, like electronica don't seem to play, but reading here, that may be power set levels. Most kits and quickstarts on a quick late night run through seemed fine.
I installed teh DLL in my vst folder and the kit in a subfolder off that.
What I'm seeing with any subsequent load
following a delete or restart of P5 is this FAQ familiar message
"You need to run the latest Jamstix updater. If you have manually moved the data folder and/or DLLs before, you will need to manually move the updated files." BUT I NEVER MOVED THE DATA FOLDER.
You are probably running Vista and its user account control has kept the updater from fully doing its job. Please right-click on the Jamstix updater in the Windows explorer and choose 'Run As Administrator'.
I am not running Vista.
If I run the 2.2.1 update, as was available on the download page, I do get the one initial error-free load within the DAW, but any subsequent load again generates this error.
I'm not even sure it's a 'real' error as most things tested seemed to work.
I'm at work now, so won't be able to try anything, but would appreciate any response that I can follow up this evening.
Thanks. |
