Hi

Just done a scan. I am being told of a virus in jamstix/pluggin/mapping. I have had a false alarm with Avast before, with a Nero pluggin if I remember correctly. That instance was confirmed as a false alarm.

Just wondered if anyone else had had this??

Thanks

I just started a thorough scan last night and I hit a warning with the brush-stick pack warning that there's a worm virus in the .rdm file

I have it quarantined right now because on my laptop, I recently have had a worm virus infection that now makes Windows close Windows Explorer!

I don't know how I got the virus - the one shutting down windows explorer is not a false alarm from Avast - windows is actually behaving this way.

So I'm a little nervous just to ignore something.

As soon as Avast stops it's scan, I'll look in the quarantine chest to get the details.

RDM files are just mapping data files. Your virus scanner is merely mistaking a data sequence in it with a virus marker. Since RDM files are just data and not executable code, there is no virus or danger. Just a false positive.
