Hi

"you can now save multiple bars at once (marked by _B1,_B2 etc.). The Jamstix 2 mode of the groove importer auto-detects these and therefore allows multi-bar grooves"

I am starting to experiment with the new multiple bars save. From what i am understanding, if i have a 2 bars groove, i will have 2 saved files ( let s say x.j2d and x_B1.j2d )

If i want to "tint" anything with that groove, i use the groove importer and select the ORIGINAL .j2d file ( not the _B1 )so it will use both bars automaticaly...Am i right ?

I also have trouble with the " turn groove into a style function ". When i use it, it change my part style to Noname, and when i hit compose, it produce no events !!! Am i doing something wrong ?

Thank you in advance for your help Ralph, it is really appreciated by all.

It should say 'Bar Groove'. Please try again and then send me the file rzdlog.txt for review.

I'm having the same problem, it's saving as 'noname', and not generating any hits. Watching with great interest. Milt.

The same here, turn groove into style does not work. Using Jamstix 2.2.0 and Reaper 2.104.

Guys, I have just sent you a new test DLL (2.2.0L) that should fix this problem. Let me know if it doesn't help.

Working here as well, Ralph, but does it not save the new style in the styles folder? I only see it in the grooves. One other thing, why would JS keep recomposing a fill when I have it looping with the little green arrows? Never done that before, but it keeps making new fills every time it goes around. Thanks for your help, Milt.

Saving the style is not needed as it is merely an 'Import' style with your saved groove loaded.

Very odd. Can you do a 'save song' of this and send me the resulting file as well as the bar#?

I'll see if I can reproduce it and get the info to you. Thanks again, Milt. EDIT: oh, and it happened after I installed the 220L fix that you sent me in email.

Ralph, have not been able to reproduce the looping/fill generation problem, I guess that's a good thing. If it does show up again, I'll save the info you requested and get it to you. Thanks, and loving Jamstix!! Milt.
