Hi Ralph, thanks for the graet product. I've been using Jamstix with BFD inside FL4 Producer, and Cubase SX2. I'm currently just wanting to use it as a simple drum sequencer (not using any of it's jamming functions right now). So in the Rhythm tab, I just try to program a relatively simple beat on the Kick, Snare, and Hi-Hats (using the BFD All Outputs mapping, fyi), and the problems are as follows:
- In FL4, I have no clue what's up... the beat I'm trying to get it to play is clearly off for some reason. The beat seems way off-sync (the 1,2,3,4 counters above the Kick boxes don't match up with the beat it's actually on!) And again, it's definitely not playing the beat I've programmed, except SOMETIMES for the first bar it's ok.
-In Cubase, it handles my beats way better, but, it randomizes way too much. I just want to hear a simple beat over and over again for the music I'm doing, but it's giving me fills, crashes, rolls, etc, when I do not want any of that stuff. I've turned off all the Random boxes in the Randomize menu, and I've reduced all pertinent probability sliders to 0%. Is there something else I need to do?
Thanks in advance.

Are you using X3-9? It sounds like you have high-latency in FL and Jamstix 1.1 and earlier cannot handle that.

Well, unfortunately, I'm not sure what X3-9 is??
Ok, I'll send the screenshots this evening.
Thanks. |

I got the screenshots. Please try Jamstix X3-9 from the post above and see if it helps _________________ Ralph Zeuner

The tom accent slider is not zero in your screenshots. Try setting it all the way left and see if that helps _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I downloaded it and so far so good in FL4... seems to be playing what I tell it to, and keeping with the right measure. I will have to wait to try it with Cubase until tonight, and I'll let you know if it solves that problem as well.
Thanks again!
PS... I saw in another post where you mention turning off Looping of Bar 1 in FruityLoops. I think I have that going on as well but I can't for the life of me figure out to "un-loop" it. Do you know how? I know you're not Tech Support for FruityLoops so no big deal if you don't... but if it's an easy fix, let me know... thanks! |

I'm not a FL user and don't know how to do it either. I always load a demo song to test Jamstix with it _________________ Ralph Zeuner
