Hi Ralph,

I am working with JS 2.21B1. I like working the Classic mode with the "silent" drummer. But I notice that I'm not able to go to the ride cymbal when the velocity is full, either automatically or by my MIDI controller. Also, the side stick does not come in when the velocity is low. Is there a way to do this? Or are you planning on implementing this and other amenities of JS 1? Is there any provision for CC controller automation corresponding to JS1 Power play, JS1 Sidestick Snare or JS1 Reduction in JS2 Classic mode/silent drummer?

I seem to have a hard time taming the drummers and styles in JS2. Sometimes they throw in a lot of stuff I don't like, whereas I got JS 1 to the point where it behaved itself. I do like certain other aspects of JS2 better, especially the sounds. So I'm hoping, it'll get to the point where I'm as comfortable in JS2 as I have been in JS 1.

Thanks

The functions you are looking for are all in the drummer models. 'Silent' is an 'empty' model so it doesn't have any of this.

I recommend you use 'James Stix' and turn the 'Overall' slider in the Accent tab all the way down (left). This will tame the model and leave only the switch rules, power hand and feel processing.

Thanks, Ralph, that works!
I do have another issue that cropped up. JS2 keeps crashing if I try to load a save CC automation file. It also crashes if I use my MIDI controller too rapidly to change the CC automation. I have an Athlon 64 dual core 2.6 GHZ processor and am using Cantabile as a host which has always worked fine before ths 2.2 update. It also works fine for JS1.

Thanks again.

Can you send me the CC automation file? Also, which MIDI controller # are you moving fast and what do you have it mapped to?
