|
|
Hello,
I have Jamstix2 installed in one location and moved the data folder in another drive (launched Jamstix2 at least one time to make it ask for the new location, everything ok till here).
The problem is that 2.2.0 updater put a new "data" folder inside the jamstix2 install folder instead of updating files in the moved location. I guessed I had to move the new data folder contents in my custom path.
Is this by purpose?
Thanks,
Mario |

The updater doesn't know you moved the location. It can only see the original installation path. We're hoping to be able to improve this in the future. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

As I'm getting a bit out of space on my C drive: What is the best way to move the installation to a different place? When I move the complete folder, and do a simple reinstall of jamstix, will it be enough for all the settings and the drumpaks?

I see the current data location is an item in an ini file in the main jamstix2 location.
If you're using Innosetup to make Jamstix2 installs maybe I can help.
Let me know if you're interested.

Simply move the data folder to a new drive and leave the rest (mainly the .dll) in place.
The next time you launch JS you will be asked for the new location. |
