In the description of the 'staircase' style it says:

Quote:
"This is a 4/4 backbeat groove with several accent elements. You can select one of several presets in the box on top of the groove panel, next to the 'Halftime' button. These range from subtle variations to a markedly different ride-based pattern."

Probably I'm just dumb or blind but I don't know what this "box on top of the groove panel" where you can "select one of several presets" is and where it should be.

quick question.. I have recently decided to buy Toontrack's Superior2 when it comes out. As such, I am not really in need of more drum samples and probably want to hold off on the Bonzo samples for now.

Just wondering if the styles and drummer profiles created for Bonzo will only be exclusively available in the Bonzo sample add on kit or is there any possibility that this sort of stuff will be added to the regular jamstix update or available as a cheaper upgrade?

For me, the main advantage of buying Jamstix is to use the brain to control other sound sources. It would be good to be able to get all the up to date styles and drummer profiles somehow, without having to buy all the sample paks. I realize they are good value, but they are only good value if you need the samples too.

Sorry to interrupt your question Dewdman42, but something you asked has me wondering.

Are there new drummer models in BonzoPak? I don't see that listed as a feature.

I'm not Ralph (obviously), but no, BonzoPak doesn't include any new drummer models, but it does have a bunch of new styles- since the Bonzo in question is already among Jamstix's drummer models.

Just bought it.

And I don't really need it. I already have all of the Toontrack Superior stuff including all the vintage stuff and adding Superior 2 when released. I just couldn't resist Ludwig and Paiste together. And anyway I like to support Jamstix. It has the best support among the audio software I own.

Dewdman42,
owning both Toontrack Vintage Expansions (Superior and EzDrummer) I did a comparison with BonzoPak and, to my ears at least, for that Zep vibe the BonzoPak is spot on without any processing needed, quite different from the Toontrack Vintage Expansions which do need extensive processing to sound good (then they do, of course).
Plus, that fantastic huge room can be continuously dialed out if you want the dry sound of the kit.
Imho the best sounding kit Ralph has done so far (and I do like the others a lot ! Very Happy ).
Ymmv,
Cheers,
Rhino
