until now i've only been using grooves and fills. so, I went through the BRAIN section (11.3) in the manual and didn't find anything on how to use/add accents.

the manual goes from GROOVE to FILL and says nothing about the ACCENT button. (11.3.1 covers GROOVE, 11.3.2 covers FILL)

I thought it would work just like adding/deleting fills but i'm missing it

Yes, the accents are mostly in the drummer model. There is no extra section on it in the manual, which we should probably remedy.

If you move your mouse over the name of an accent element (such as 'Throw-Ins'), you will get extra information in the status line.

Yes, it is in section 11.3.3 of the JS 2.2 manual.
