Hi Ralph,

somethine has happened and I'm not sure if I 've just stuffed a setting or it's come in one of reh recent updates....

Jamstix used to work in Kayword and Free jam by changing the rhythms it used in the arranger window as it played along.

Now when it plays in Keyword or free jam it just plays the first rhythm in the list in the arranger window for every bar.

I've only just noticed this as I've mainly been using Manual jam and programming drums to songs using the arranger.

I went to have a free jam to a riff I came up with but found this problem.

I've tried this in both n-Track and Tracktion and get the same thing.

I tried it with an existing song and also by just starting a new song, loading jamstix, setting it to jam to midi and pressing play...

I tried re-installing jamstix from the setup file and then unzipping the x3-6 dlll and still the same deal.

thanks,
Rich

It works fine here. Sounds like you didn't switch to 'Jam With Audio' (assuming your riff is audio)?

OK I've figured it out...
I wasn't using jam to audio as i was just playing my acoustic guitar.

I thought I could set it to jam to midi and just set the volume envelope up full to get it to play.

It does play, but just doesn't change rhythms.
If i insert a blank midi track and then randomly click notes on the piano roll and copy and paste that a few times and route that midi track to jamstix it changes rhythms in the arranger.

Either that or load a sine wav, mute audioM8 and then do it that way...

When I use the arranger I don't use audioM8 or any midi track and just use the midi automation to control the parameters I want and thought I could do the same for the free and key word jams, but it seems I need either an audio or midi track fed into Jamstix for these 2 modes.

thanks,
Rich
