|
|
I am having trouble getting Jamstix to successfully subhost Battery 3 within Cakewalk Project 5 and Sonar 6 Producer Edition. Jamstix works perfectly, so long as I don't try to load Battery 3.
If I do attempt to load Battery three, everything locks up, and I will have to terminate from the Windows task manager.
I have tried limiting Battery to just the main outputs (vs. multiple outputs), and setting both Jamstix and Battery to 16 stereo pairs.
I am running:
Windows XP Home on a "DAW" partition (the only items there are DAW software, soft synths, and the drivers for my audio hardware)
Pentium D 805
2 GB RAM
EMU 1820m (using the ASIO drivers), running at 48 KHz sample rate
In Project 5 and Sonar, I use a 24/48 template.
Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!

What version of Jamstix are you using? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

If I had read the subject line I could have seen that myself
Please repeat the problem and then immediately send me the file rzdlog.txt from the Jamstix2 folder. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Firstly, Jamstix won't generate the file you've ask me to send to you.
But, this may not be an issue, because I have been doing some more testing, and I think this can be laid at the feet of Battery 3, and not Jamstix. I can load Cakewalk's Session Drummer 2 VSTi into Jamstix without a hitch.
Adobe Audition 3 handles VSTi's; I tried getting Jamstix to subhost Battery 3 in Audition, and got the same lockup problem I've had with Sonar and Project 5.
So... I'm not sure how I can get this resolved... but I'm pretty sure it's not a JS2 issue.
Thanks for the patience...

Jamstix creates the file rzdlog.txt in the same folder where its 'data' folder is on every startup. If you can find it, send it to me as I may be able to see something in there to explain the Battery 3 problem. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
