'Voice Reduction' is a function of the sample player engine and determines how aggressively it will fade out/steal notes to keep the CPU load down. It has nothing to do with style or drummer.
The default of 6 will be fine for most mixes. If you have solo drum section and you hear tom and cymbal sustains be shortened unnaturally then you may want to lower it via automation to 1 or even 0 during that section if you can spare the additional CPU cycles. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Got it. I thought it was a variation of the Reduction option in the Groove parameters (which the tooltip says simplifies the rhythm). I guess in a way it does - by truncating the samples during playback! |

The 'Reduction' VST automation parameter allows you to force the rhythm reduction level from the host. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
