I try to push rythms using the pocket buttons to get a more energetic feeling, but without success.

I am not a drummer, but as far as I know, they like to push some beats forward (or do they play the rest in a laidback feeling?).

It would be nice to have kind of "Cmon Drummer, stop smoking pot"-Button Smile...

But seriously, what is trick, to achieve exactly the opposite of a laidback feeling. A good example imho what be Tommy Lee's style (allthoug i am not into spandex music Smile).

Jamstix does not support "ahead" timing at this time. The pocket controls and timing variance slider induce delays only. Top drummers in rock/funk almost never play ahead of the beat. The term "playing in the pocket" refers specifically to minute delays in the snare.

As a work-around, you can export or record the Jamstix output and then move it in the host forward.

Also, make sure you try the X3-5 beta since it has much tighter timing.
