Well, I finally decided to make a jump into the unknow, and so I am setting up a new PC (quadcore with a lot of ram and Vista 64) for use with Sonar 7 64bit.
My hardware(s) and sequencer should not be a problem (drivers okay, etc..) now it's time to investigate and see which of my other tools will work and will not.

Regarding JS2, I did'nt find any "requirements" product page, and with a search here I found only a few "old" posts (early 2006) about the 64bit compatibility... At that time -if I understood right- the compiler was not updated, hence JS was 32 bit.
What is the status now ?

And if -unfortunately- JS2 has still not been updated for 64bit, are there at least some JS2 users here who can say they successfully use it with Sonar's Bitbridge (or any sequencer in Vista 64) ?

Thanks in advance for any information about that !

Jamstix 2 is a 32-bit OS application. However, we know that there are several users using it in Sonar X64 via BitBridge.

By the way, there are hardly any 64-bit OS VSTi plugins on the market right now...

Thanks Ralph.
Yes I know that 64bit is a pretty new thing....
And not being a developer I have no idea if it's hard work to port it from 32 to 64.

Anyway, if some Sonar users use it with BitBridge, I suppose I can. Well, we'll see : I heard mixed things about this BitBridge feature.

So, I'll be grateful to any Sonar user willing to report his/her experience with JS2 and Bitbridge !

I used it with 32 bit sonar running on Windows XP x64. I had a problem with IK Multimedia Sonik Synth and Sampletank. They didn't like Sonar's bit bridge with the 64 bit sonar. But the 32 bit Sonar works fine on a 64 bit OS and you still have access to more memory than you would on the 32 bit OS. Hope this helps.

JS2 is working fine here in C4/32 and XP64 and Vista64 Business.
For daily work I'm still using XP Pro 32 though, thanks to NI still having issues with 64bit OS. Rolling Eyes
None of my other software including UAD and tons of commercial and free plugins has 64bit issues so far.
Cheers,
Rhino

Thanks Rhino and Monkeymanx,
those are good news !

Hopefully I'll get my 64bit PC finished in just a few days, so I'll be able to install and make test, and then report my experience.
