So let me ask you guys something.I am a guitarist looking to make his own patterns/songs to write riffs to. I am using Acousticas Beatcraft right now and its kind of easy in a way.It has a real time editor to build patterns in but you really need to be very drummer literate to get the most out of it.You have to write your patterns from scratch and the sounds are just ok....but after hearing the samples of this Metal Pak I realized this is what I am looking for as I play metal.
I have been looking at BFD and EZ Drummer and this as well. But I am leaning more toward this right now but I have some reservations.
I am very computer literate but I would like to know more about pc drum programs like these.
First, does this come ...say....presets that I can use and piece together or tweak to form songs? Or do I need to be like a real drummer and start from scratch? Do you have to do it beat by beat?
I am sorry to ask so much but before I buy a program thats not for me,I would like to know from users.
I am looking for a standalone and not something you would need a midi keyboard for so anny help as to its use would be great.
I have the demo but so far all I can do is hear preset patterns and I cant find where you would actually prgram your own beats.
So if anyone can shed light on a beginner here, please let me know. |

Hi!
JS can be a very complex app.
So to get the most out of it, I´d recommend to go through the manual at least once.
Then you will get the concept of the JS brain composing different rhythms according to the selected style (e.g. metal) or dummer model more easily.
JS is quite different from any of the rest here, although you can also program rhythms from scratch. |

There is a video, about making your own grooves. Look at Rayzoon homepage, and find videos there.
