Please excuse a dumb question by a lazy user. I read the manual but could not find it. I also searched this forum, but all similar problems seem to be related to JS1 (to which I know the answer).

So two basic scenarios
a) How to have JS2 start playing after x bars/ parts into the song
b) How to mute the output of JS2 for x bars in the middle of a song

I know there is an obvious answer, but what?!?!?

a) Use the part menu on the first part to add an 'Intro'. Set its length as needed.

b) Create part for the silent section and set style and drummer both to 'Silent'. Make sure the fill boxes are unchecked.

When you say having an intro 'played' longer than a bar, I am assuming you mean the fill at the end of the intro. If so, I'd go to the bar(s) before the final transition fill of the intro, switch the brain to FILL and hit COMP on each bar to issue a fill manually.

If you need a rhythm in the intro, then sue a normal part and not an intro and clear the bars you need silent in the beginning and lock them.

Ending not on 1 requires either shortening the last fill manually by clearing notes (or muting ticks) or hand placing a few notes in the following bar.

To answer Del Pedro, you can set the length of a part (intro, verse 1, verse 2, chorus 1 etc) to anything (almost). Like intro= 16 bars. Check the manual p.21.

Regarding JS playing only part of bars, from what I gather the simplest method (if you can't find a fill or ending that fits) is to export midi and edit manually in your host. I hope I understood your questions correctly.
